Nasce dalla storia di uomini e donne impegnati in questa terra, con il proprio lavoro, i propri interessi e le proprie passioni.

Nasce da storie di amicizia e dalla volontà di scommettere su questo Sud che appare, spesso, agli occhi dei più, lontano, arido, assolato.
Nasce dalla scoperta di un territorio, il nostro, che alcuni di noi hanno esplorato, passo dopo passo, e mostrato agli altri, nella sua straordinaria bellezza, attraverso l'obiettivo di una macchina fotografica.

E nasce dall'esigenza di svelare ciò che si nasconde oltre la bellezza fisica, per raccontare una terra densa di storia, di cultura, di arte. Per conoscerne sapori e tradizioni. Per svelarne meraviglie e segreti che arrivano da lontano.
Per aggregare amici, esperienze ed idee, per essere un cantiere sempre in divenire, aperto all'apporto e al contributo di chiunque voglia esserci.

Per dare ai nostri figli l'opportunità di vivere in città a misura di bambino, attraverso percorsi di crescita e di gioco che li vedano finalmente protagonisti.

Questo, e tanto altro ancora... Perché il Mediterraneo, con le sue città, con i suoi vicoli che riecheggiano storie millenarie, con la sua moltitudine di spazi fecondi intrisi, di sole, di luci e di colori che dalla terra e la campagna scivolano verso il mare, questo Mediterraneo culla di popoli e di civiltà, multietnico e multiculturale, punto di partenza e di approdo, di speranze anelate e raggiunte ma troppo spesso tragicamente infrante, è molto di più di un luogo fisico.

È un luogo dell'anima, e diventa la metafora di un viaggio che faremo anche nostro, è uno spazio ancora tutto da riempire."
